OUR DAD

I knew a man,
He built his life not around himself, but his family
He was an unselfish man;
He found reward in doing for others,
Somehow he raised six children,
He was an amazing man;
The love of his life was Marilyn,
Married until death,
He was a faithful man,
He often spoke of the meandering hills, sunsets, and laden green forests,
I never understood why until later in my life,
He was a peaceful man,
Famous as a restauranteur and for his omelettes,
His desire was to please others,
He was an affable man;
He found great enjoyment expressing himself in music,
For this he will surely be missed,
He was a pleasant man,
Recognized for his personality,
He often told jokes,
He was a humorous man;
He was so concerned about his wife until the end of his life,
He is now, has been, and always will be an example to me,
I'm so thankful and honored the man was my dad.
