The Toad Hop is a fundreaising event for Allied Services for Kids (ASK), sponsored by Westlake Shopping Center, Yolo Family Services Agency, Suicide Prevention of Yolo County, and Yolo Community Care Continuum (YCCC). The entry fee is a minimum of $10 in sponsorships per toad. There are prizes for the largest toad, the longest hop, and the most $$$ in sponsorships. For toads sponsored at the $25 level or higher, commemorative Toad Hop T-shirts will be awarded to the Toad jockeys. Toad Hop sponsorship sheets and information sheets may be picked up at Lamppost Pizza
To participate as a Toad jockey and to enter a toad, participants must promise to humanely treat their toad before, during, and after the Toad Hop. They agree not to secure their toads no more than three (3) days before the Toad Hop on May 18. The Toad must be adequatedly fed and watered by the Toad jockey and the Toad will be released back to its home environment after the Toad Hop. Flagrant violations of these guidelines will result in entry disqualification.
