The bike exhibit, developed by Bicycle activist Ted Buehler, is primarily about the history of America’s first bike lanes and features maps, pictures and newspaper clippings about the development of this Davis experience. One of the artifacts included in the display is the bicycle of former Chancellor Jim Meyer, who rode the bike to his office on campus, as well as all over town, almost to his dying day. The bike has been lent by his daughter, Susan Meyer. Also, on exhibit are antique toys, furniture, books and other items for children, as well as the permanent exhibits of early Davisville.
